Cambiar la Contraseña cPanel

Regularmente deberías cambiar la clave de tu cPanel para correr menos riesgos de seguridad en tu hosting.

El acceso a tu cPanel está disponible en tudominio/cpanel (ej. www.midominio.com/cpanel).

 

Ubica la opción de cambio de contraseña.

Usa el buscador de cPanel para llegar directo a la opción. Escribe “contraseña” y el ícono aparecerá inmediatamente. Si tienes cPanel en español, la plantilla traducida lo muestra como “Seguridad de la & contraseña”

Cambia tu clave de cPanel

Para cambiar la clave de cPanel debes recordar tu clave actual e ingresarla en el campo “Contraseña anterior”. La nueva clave idealmente debería cumplir las siguientes condiciones:

  • No usar palabras del diccionario, nombres o información personal (fechas de cumpleaños, número de teléfono).
  • Evitar patrones simples. 
  • Al menos 8 caracteres.
  • Mezclar mayúsculas, minúsculas y símbolos.
  • No ser igual/similar a contraseñas anteriores ni a otras que ya estés usando para otros servicios y usuarios.

cPanel tiene una herramienta para generar contraseñas seguras que puedes aprovechar desde la misma interfaz (es el botón marcado en verde en la imagen).
